Breathing exercise for falling asleep

This video contains a meditation exercise focused on deep breathing. It is most helpful for individuals who have trouble falling asleep due to an overactive mind and stress. It uses a slow breathing technique with a long exhalation. It works by activating the vagus nerve, signaling a state of relaxation and getting the body ready for sleep.

This meditation can be done before bedtime to help you wind down from your day. Or you can practice them in bed as part of your bedtime routine. If you choose to practice them in bed, feel free to drift off to sleep at any point in the meditation.
