Yoga Mudra is a form of yoga with symbolic gestures or movements that has been used for thousands of years. Mudra means seal, gesture, or mark. The Mudras represent feelings and emotions. They may involve eye and body positions, but often involve the hands and fingers.
It is believed that mudras help with energy flow in the body. As a person forms different mudras, it affects their state of mind and awareness. Mudras are used with breathing techniques and meditation.
This meditation can be done before bedtime to help you wind down from your day. Or you can practice them in bed as part of your bedtime routine. If you choose to practice them in bed, feel free to drift off to sleep at any point in the meditation.
